Section 4: Transformation + Fruitfulness

“It is easy to get bogged down in the business of life, which means God often takes a backseat. Sometimes we need to get out of our routine and recharge spiritually. BASECAMP helps us to pause, breathe and reflect on our relationship with God, and on the men He calls us to be.”
— Lachlan Anderson
St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Chatswood

At KCC we are encouraged by the many stories we hear that testify to the Holy Spirit’s power in transforming people through the Bible teaching at our conferences.

KYCK has become an indispensable part of our mission to reach local youth for Christ. Every Friday night we present the gospel to the many high-schoolers who come along. KYCK has the disruptive impact that God has used each year to move young people to put their faith in Christ. We have a confirmation service towards the end of each year, where a number of youth share their testimony. Without fail, KYCK is mentioned as a breakthrough moment in the faith story of young believers.”
— Al Lukabyo
Youth Minister at St James’ Anglican, Croydon, NSW
I brought a group of 17 girls from my school to KYCK19. I have been to hundreds of conferences in my lifetime and this would have to be right up there with the best. The teaching was fabulous, and delivered with eloquence, skill, truth and humour. The music team served beautifully with music pointing to Jesus and I loved that my girls got to worship in spirit and truth in this way. Eight of my girls responded to Jesus on Saturday night. The way in which you prepared the youth to return to school was brilliant and my girls are all saying they want to come back next year and bring their friends. We are so glad we came and valued every minute. Our lives here have been greatly impacted by you and your heart for Jesus.”
— Michelle
Chaplain & Director of Christian Faith and Values, TARA School
Onward covered relevant topics for the demographic. It served as a wake up call to the reality of the world and its attitude to the Christian faith."
— Adam
“[At Onward] our youth group was able to be more intellectually challenged and encouraged in the message of the gospel.”
— Angela
"NextGen is the most important conference in the calendar for me. It equips people to read … and teach the Bible so that they are not only a disciple but a disciple-making disciple.”
— Ray Galea
Senior Minister, St Albans MBM Rooty Hill
“My 5 year old daughter was boldly and enthusiastically proclaiming the gospel to me as we walked through the shops today. So thankful for the infants leaders [at Katoomba Easter Convention]"
— Michelle
“Taking the time to stop for a day and sit under God's word with so many brothers in Christ at BASECAMP was the best remedy for me at a time I was stressed and anxious. We were challenged to base our identity in Christ, not in our achievements or relationships. I felt strengthened and renewed to stand alongside so many other Christian men and humbly come back to Jesus — proclaiming Him as our identity and our strength.”
— Lachlan Anderson
St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Chatswood
“On behalf of Molong District Baptist church and other associated country churches, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to KCC and the very generous donors who contributed towards the sponsored OneLove tickets. With the ongoing drought affecting our region and many of our families at a personal level, we were going to struggle to attend with as many ladies as previous years. Your generosity enabled us to send 44 ladies off for a lovely weekend in Sydney, away from the pressures of the drought, for a great time of teaching and fellowship. God always provides and we have been amazed at the way he has worked in this situation."
— Cherrie Handebo
Molong District Baptist Church

Help Anglicare increase vital food and financial assistance through this crisis

The sudden shutdown of businesses across Australia, aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19, has pushed many families into poverty. “People who may never have experienced financial hardship in the past or never had to introduce themselves to welfare support or charities … have suddenly found themselves out of work and in need,” says Bill Farrand, Anglicare Community Chief Operating Officer.

The health and economic crisis is also impacting heavily on families and individuals who were already vulnerable – those in low-income jobs and people facing mental illness, domestic violence and other stresses in their homes. “Anglicare has always been about supporting people who fall through the cracks,” Bill says. “And there are more of those people at the moment – there are more cracks and there are more people.” With your support, Anglicare will increase vital food and financial assistance to help our communities through this crisis. Because Anglicare is built for times like these.

Please give what you can to help. Thank you.
